EUROPE - The UK's Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) is to lead an exciting new European-wide project that aims to improve the pig industry.EU PIG is a four-year 2m project to look at health management, precision production, animal welfare and meat quality made up of a consortium of 19 organisations from all across Europe and led by AHDB.The consortium represents 13 Member States that together account for 92 per cent of the EU’s pig meat production and 89 per cent of the EU’s pig herd in 2014.

　　英国农业及园伊⒅发展部(ADHB)将带头开展一项振奋人心普遍欧洲的新准备，其目的是改善整个养猪业生产水平。EU PIG准备为期四年，由英国农业及园伊⒅发展部领导，与全欧洲的19个组织组成联盟，预计投资200万欧元，项目着眼于健康管理、精益化养殖、牲畜福利和肉类质量。联盟作为13个成员国的代表，其猪肉产量合计占欧盟猪肉生产的92%，相当于2014年欧盟猪群规模的89%。
